The Knights of Columbus were at Stop & Shop on Washington Avenue on Saturday October 18th to accept donations from North Haven residents of food & cash for the North Haven Food Bank. The Knights collected over 300 lbs of food and over $200 in cash from shoppers at Stop & Shop, all of which have been turned over to the North Haven Food Bank.

In this photo pictured left to right are the Knights who volunteered their time to benefit residents of our community who are less fortunate: Rob Berey, Grand Knight & Sir Knight Andrea Puzio, Julius Gerbi, Sir Knight Rocco Carbone, Sir Knight Vincent Costanzo, Sir Knight Brian Larkins, John Palmieri and Sir Knight Don Clark. The following Knights volunteered there but are not in the photo: Sir Knight Paul Caiafa, Harry Bahls and Larry Esposito.

Family of The Month - October 2025
The Knights of Columbus Council 3733 in North Haven presented Charlie R. Anderson and The Caiafa Family with the Family of the Month Award.  Charlie who is holding the certificate next to Grand Knight Andrea Puzio, is a dedicated altar server who serves at almost every Saturday's 4 pm Mass. He also helps out in the weekly Parish Bingo at Saint Therese Church every Tuesday Evening.  Pictured left to right are Grand Knight Andrea Puzio, Charlie Anderson, Tony Caiafa his Wife and Grandaughter, Julius Gerbi and Don Clark.  Charlie is like an adopted Brother Knight to everyone in the North Haven Council. His family is always there encouraging him to continue doing God's work in the parish.

From the moment of our founding in 1882, charity has been the first principle of the Knights of Columbus. We are Catholic men of faith and men of charitable action.

In 2016, the Knights of Columbus set a record in charitable giving for the 18th consecutive year. Our charitable donations increased from $175 million in 2015 to a new total of $177,500,673 in 2016. In addition, we achieved our highest level of charitable service in 2016, volunteering more than 75 million hours of service. The number of service hours contributed by Knights rose in 2016 by more than a million over the previous year’s total.

"We are answering Pope Francis’ call to go to the peripheries,” Supreme Knight Carl Anderson said. “We can reach half way around the globe to help those in need and we can reach to our neighbor next door. And we do that every day. That makes us witnesses to the faith."

If you’d like to be a part of an international organization of nearly 2 million Catholic men whose principal work involves helping others in need, we'd like to meet you and invite you to join us.
